Instructor - Johanne McInnis

As a harpist, Johanne McInnis, once was involved in the Quebec city Harp Ensemble.  In 2005, when she moved to the Maritimes, she started a harp ensemble in the valley.   After a few months of reflection on the artistic vision of that ensemble, she has decided to give a new start to The Enchanted Harp Ensemble.  Being part of a harp ensemble is a wonderful way to add to a repertoire and learn new techniques.  It also provides the opportunity to take workshops from different harpists styles coming from Canada, Europe and United States.

For more than twenty years, as a harpist and music educator, Johanne was awarded the 2009 teaching excellence Music Award from the Prime Minister of Nova Scotia "Bringing Life to the Arts".

It is with a new fresh breath of air that Canadian Jazz-Celtic harpist Johanne McInnis is ready to share and rehearse a repertoire from the medieval, romantic, classical, jazz and the 21st century period of musical history.
